spring has sprung, or has it?

Firstly, I think we should explain the title of this post. It’s March as I'm writing this and there is currently snow on the ground, with more on the way. So, inevitably, spring has well and truly not sprung, YET!

I wanted to get ahead of myself a bit (content wise) by doing a spring shoot in early February. I had a vision of what I wanted it to look like. I wanted the tablescape to have a more modern twist on spring styling, not your traditional afternoon tea vibes. I added playful touches such as lilac gingham napkins, iridescent glassware, and macarons.

I knew I wanted to incorporate spring blooms, of course. So I thought this would be a good opportunity for a local florist to be involved. I wanted to give someone the chance to showcase their work alongside my own. I love meeting new people in the business and by the power of instagram stories I found the lovely, Eloise form @bloomifyfloristry. She brought along some beautiful flowers that complimented the styling so well, such as tulips and peonies. The result was a beautiful display that perfectly captured the essence of spring.

The shoot took place in a local photography studio called Beehive Photography Studio that you can rent out per hour. It worked so well as it was local to us all and it had a white backdrop for us to use.

The images were captured by Heather from @honeyanddheather who knows how I like my photos edited by now. She gives my images the darker look that I like but she most definitely kept the freshness of spring in these images also. It was the perfect mix.

The end result was a stunning spring shoot that perfectly captured the beauty of the season. It was an absolute joy to bring the essence of spring to life through my creative vision. As a wedding and event stylist, it's always a joy to bring my creative vision to life, and this spring shoot was no exception. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with such talented women in the wedding industry and to showcase the beauty of the season through my work.
